(K-O) In two-day-old larvae, BfAhr is expressed in a circle of cells, two to three cells in width, surrounding the newly opened mouth (arrow in K), and in a few cells located in the epidermis of the rostrum (arrowhead in K,M,O). Most of the rostral BfAhr-expressing cells appear to be located on the left side (O). The scale bar in A applies to panels A-L. Blastoporal views (bp) and dorsal views (d) are labeled, and unlabeled panels are lateral views. In E-H and M-O, anterior is to the left; in I-L, anterior is to the upper left.
