Correlation between QA ratio of the transcription factor Runx2 and facial length in order Carnivora. The Siberian husky, a breed of the domestic dog (Canis lupus familiaris), has 20 glutamine- and 8 alanine-coding nucleotide sequences within the repetitive glutamine and alanine domain of Runx2. QA ratio, calculated by dividing total glutamine-coding sequences by total alanine-coding sequences, is 2.50 and results in a longer face. The domestic cat (Falis catus) has 21 glutamine- and 10 alanine-coding nucleotide sequences within the corresponding domain of Runx2. QA ratio is 2.10 and results in a shorter face
